Our programming teams draw on a variety of communication and networking expertise to connect DISH TV and Sling TV with partners across the world. They build upon our relationships with collaborators and leads, negotiate high-level contracts and work with content creators to drive creative solutions for our business and brand.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is looking for a Senior Content Acquisition Specialist to join the dynamic content acquisition team. This position will be an integral part of the Programming Team, which acquires video content from both domestic content partners (e.g. Fox, AMC, Paramount/CBS, etc.), as well as international partners (e.g. JioStar, Sony India, etc.).

The Programming Team works with senior management on DISH's programming strategy, manages ongoing business and relationships with our programming partners, and negotiates content acquisition and renewal deals in line with budget and overall strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive DISH's preparation process for upcoming negotiations with content partners
• Participate in content acquisition discussions as well as renewal negotiations with our content partners
• Evaluate and lead contractual analysis of our programming agreements with support from members of DISH's legal team
• Ad-hoc analyses on network viewership and financials to support and inform discussions with content partners
• Proactive analysis of the latest trends in media and industries to drive internal content strategy and identify business opportunities
  Skills, Experience and Requirements
  
  Education and Experience:
  
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; minimum of 1-2 years of experience; or a combination of education and experience
    
    Skills and Qualifications:
    
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable communicating with senior management; capability to build and maintain strong internal and external business relationships
    • Detail oriented with ability to review and analyze a large volume of quantitative and qualitative data (Excel skills considered an advantage)
    • Ability to think creatively and independently as well as collaboratively
    • Comfortable reading and understanding contract language considered a plus
    • Experience and a demonstrated interest in the pay-TV industry
    • Interest in international programming (e.g. Bollywood, Brazilian or Arabic content) considered a plus
    • Negotiation/deal experience

      Salary Ranges
      
      Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

      The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
