A highly regarded financial advisory firm is seeking an Associate Advisor to play a key role in financial planning, investment research, and client relationship management. This role offers a structured path for growth into a lead advisor position while working directly with experienced professionals in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The Associate Advisor will support client meetings, develop financial plans, and coordinate follow-ups while gaining exposure to high-net-worth clients and complex planning strategies. Candidates with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills will thrive in this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the second chair in client meetings-preparing materials, taking notes, and ensuring follow-up tasks are executed.
  • Assist in financial planning, investment research, and retirement strategy development.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews, risk assessments, and market research to support client recommendations.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Ensure client accounts align with financial goals, regulatory requirements, and risk tolerance.
  • Stay current on industry trends, investment strategies, and compliance regulations, sharing insights with the team.
  • Provide exceptional client service and contribute to operational efficiencies.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
    • Series 7 & 65/66 (required) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
    • Life/Health insurance license preferred (or willingness to obtain).
    • CFP certification or actively pursuing CFP designation strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or investment advisory.
    • Familiarity with financial planning software, CRM systems, and investment research tools.
    • Strong communication, analytical, and client service skills with a keen eye for detail.

      Why Consider This Role?

      • Work alongside experienced advisors, gaining direct mentorship and a defined career path.
      • Exposure to high-net-worth clients and complex financial strategies.
      • Competitive compensation and opportunity for future growth into a lead advisory role.
      • A collaborative, supportive team that values client-first service and professional development.

        Ideal Candidate Background

Candidates from wealth management firms, RIAs, or career agency systems (such as Northwestern Mutual, New York Life, or similar firms) are highly encouraged to apply. Experience in business development or managing a small book of business is a plus but not required.
