Job DescriptionDewberry is seeking a Department Manager for our Denver, CO office to lead and manage a team of professionals working on a wide range of challenging Water/Wastewater projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective growth leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work with clients, engineers, and other technicians on a variety of water and wastewater projects from planning through final design, construction, and commissioning. • Oversight and management of the water/wastewater team
• Development and execution of growth strategies consistent with the enterprise growth goals
• Leading business development activities and client engagement strategies
• Leading and overseeing proposal preparation including scopes of work, fee estimates, and technical approach development
• Leveraging national Water Market Segment resources to pursue and win water and wastewater projects with Tier 1 water clients
• Managing, providing technical assistance to, and mentoring junior staff
• Oversight and Quality Assurance of technical deliverables including:
  • Memoranda, feasibility studies, and engineering reports
  • Hydraulic and process calculations
  • Plans and specifications for water, wastewater, and/or storm drainage system project elements (pipelines, pump stations, treatment systems)
  • Engineers' estimates
  • Technical specifications
  • Perform other duties as necessary in support of team growth and engagement with the national Water Market SegmentRequired Skills & Required Experience
    • Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering (Masters preferred)
    • Possession of Colorado PE license
    • 10-15 years of water/wastewater engineering experience
    • Good organizational and communication skills
    • Track record of successful leadership, operations management, and growthThe projected range for this position is $150,000-202,000 annually.
