Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to join our Payment Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret complex data sets in order to identify opportunities for process improvements. As a Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for various payment functions, process improvement initiatives, supporting release audits, writing business procedures and requirements, as well as analyzing payment data to provide actionable insights that support key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute on analysis efforts into payment performance and customer experience enhancements, identifying areas for Customer Experience improvements and cost savings
  • Support department and enterprise project releases by building audit plans and identifying reporting needs related to payment, refund and chargeback processing
  • Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization
  • Create informative data visualizations and reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and Point of Contact to internal and external partners for payment functions and responsibilities specific to your role
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, metrics, and KPIs
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in payments and fraud
    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year College or technical school, preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analysis, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics, and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

      Skills and Qualifications:
      • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision while producing results towards operational goals
      • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common metrics used to measure and monitor operational performance
      • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macros
      • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL or Python
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex, technical concepts to a wide audience of internal stakeholders
      • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment, working both independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
      • A plus if you have experience with payment acceptance or chargeback processing

        Salary Ranges

        Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $80,000.00/Year

        The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
