It includes Lutheran Hospice Center and Lutheran Spine Center at Denver West.Lutheran Hospital began in 1905 as the Evangelical Lutheran Sanitarium, a tent colony for tuberculosis patients. As medical advances diminished the demand for tuberculosis treatment, community leaders decided the center should meet a new need. Community-based Lutheran Hospital, a not-for-profit, general medical facility located on a 100-acre campus, opened its doors in 1961.Our new Lutheran Hospital campus at Clear Crossing in Wheat Ridge opened its doors on August 3rd. Construction on the six-story replacement hospital started in 2021 and provides a state-of-the-art care site in the West Denver suburbs.Scope:CT Technologist responsibilities:Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the jobUnderstand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.Perform exams per department protocol.Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary anatomical structures are captured.Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.Completes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.Provide appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns.Coordinate patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.Requirements:ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire, RequiredCertified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT), PreferredBasic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days, RequiredLicensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire, RequiredIV Competency within 90 Days, RequiredFor caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification, PreferredSpecific facility-based certification may also be required for this role.
