Elwood Staffing has immediate openings for Welders at a local fabrication shop.

  Welder Details:
  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $20.00 to $22.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)
    • Operating co-bot welders
    • Grinding and polishing finished pieces
    • MIG weld 3/16" and 10ga steel
    • TIG and MIG weld 1/4" 5052 aluminum
    • Fabricate custom parts and accessories
    • Operate forklifts, drill presses, grinders, saws, and tube benders
      Welder Qualifications:
      • 1-2 years experience with MIG welding is required - (TIG welding is a plus!) or training in a related vocational program
      • Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds -
      • Ability to lay down a good, quality bead that you are proud of
      • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
      • Eager to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
      • Must have the ability or willingness to do the following:
        • Operate press brake
        • Run laser Table
        • Operate welding robot
          • Applicant may be subject to a background check
          • Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
