Job Description:
The Lockheed Martin Space (LM Space) program, Whetstone, is
seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer to develop a
Mission Planning capability for the following generation of the
United States Space Force's Protected Communications ground
system.

In this role, you will be developing a software prototype using
high-end software coding practices and tools while leading a small
team of software engineers. As the software engineering lead, you
will have both hands-on and technical oversight for the prototype
to include the Architecture, Design, Development, and Integration
of the Mission Planning Prototype. You will also interface with a
small group of sub-contractors as well as the customer. You will
have the opportunity to lead the customer demo as well.
The experienced Software Engineering Lead will work on this
leading-edge pursuit, be challenged, and continue to grow their
skills and career. Experience in software architecture,
micro-service-based architecture & design, UX/UI - web-based HMI,
Cesium experience is desired.
Candidates with an active DOD Secret clearance prior to the start
date are desired. Candidates could start without a clearance but
must have obtained an active DOD Top Secret clearance by Jan
2025.
This role is located in King of Prussia, PA. However, we can also
