Job Summary and Qualifications Assists the Physician in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.Position Requirements: Licensure/Certification/ Registration:
  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license, or current registration as Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT), or current certification as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
  • current AHA or ARC BCLS certification
  • current AHA or ARC ACLS certification Education:
    • Graduate of a 2-year Associate Degree/Diploma (BSN preferred), accredited RTR and/or RCIS training program. Experience:
      • 2 years' experience in critical care nursing preferred (RN).
      • 2 years' experience in interventional radiology procedures (RTR) preferred.
      • 2 years' experience in cardiovascular lab setting preferred (RCIS). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
        • Available to fulfill the department requirements of being on-call for afterhours emergency procedures and be with in the required thirty-minute response time.
        • Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC.
        • Displays appropriate judgment and problem solving skills.
        • Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
