OnPoint Medical Group is searching for an outstanding PRN Radiology Technologist (RT) to join our team at CLINIC! With doctors, nurses, specialists, labs and medical records all interlinked and coordinated, patient care has never been in better hands.--General Summary:-- Responsible for providing patient care including all medical tech duties as well as performing X-rays. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the provider with exams, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care, phlebotomy, injections, ear lavage, EKG, immunizations, triage, vitals, splinting and DME placement, urine drug testing and strep testing.----Level 1 Essential Responsibilities:Obtain patient's chief complaint, vital signs, and health history prior to being seen by a provider.--Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.Prepare and maintain rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies.Ensure that supplies in patient care areas are stocked and maintained.Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations, procedures, and treatments.Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in adherence with HIPAA guidelines.Perform lab and point of care tests, EKGs, X-Rays, and other functions as directed by the provider on duty.--Orient and train incoming LSRT/RT techs on patient care duties and X-ray completion.Demonstrate aseptic technique.Perform vaccine administration.Ability to draw blood and perform duties relating to phlebotomy.Maintain organization and cleanliness of the entire center, including laundry, room cleaning, break room and common areas.Maintain daily quality control functions including X-ray, drug counts, lab testing and equipment.Attend all staff and any other meetings required by your managers.Responsible for X-rays to be sent for daily over read.Responsible for making sure over read is uploaded in EMR and PACS systems.Perform patient call backs.Obtain DOT urine drug screen and breath alcohol testing certification and complete comprehensive Occ Med and Workers Comp training.--Level 2 Essential Responsibilities: All Level 1 responsibilities and the following:Perform PO and IM med administration.Perform specialty labs such as Chem 8 in-house, and d-dimer, troponin, QuantiFERON, and stat labs referred to an outside laboratory.--Level 3 Essential Responsibilities:--Ability to start an IV independently and administer normal saline.Perform IM med administration.Begin the training process for lead technician including IV med administration.----Lead Essential Responsibilities: All Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 responsibilities and the following:Ability to push medications through IV.Manage flow of the clinical staff.Communicate lab and imaging results to patients.Problem solve lab errors and pharmacy inquiries.Dispense inhouse prescriptions per provider order.Update and maintain clinic log books and crash cart.Other duties as delegated by the provider or manager.--Education: For all levelsLSRT or RT certificationBLS certificationPreferred: ACLS and PALS--Preferred: IV certificationPreferred: DOT UDS and BAT certification--Experience:--Level 1:--Preferred ---Minimum of 1-year experience in similar job function.Level 2: Level 1 and internal sign off Level 2 skills checklist and testing.Level 3: Level 1 and 2 internal sign off Level 3 skills checklist and testing.Lead: Level 1, 2, and 3 requirements and sign of internal Lead checkoff and testing.----Performance Requirements:--Knowledge:Knowledge of the principles and practices of radiography and medical assisting.Knowledge of office policies and procedures, and to complete clinical responsibilities.--Skills:--Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion.Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.Skill in organizing work, delegating and achieving goals and objectives.Skill in exercising judgment and discretion in interpreting and implementing departmental policies and procedures.--Abilities:Ability to plan, organize, and integrate priorities and deadlines.Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational problems.Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for continuous quality improvement.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.--Equipment Operated:--Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers and telephones. X-ray and PACS equipment and basic clinical equipment such as the iStat and/or Piccolo, oxygen tanks, AED, EKG machine and nebulizer equipment.--Work Environment:--Position is in a well-lighted clinical environment. Evening and weekend work will be necessary as required to facilitate uninterrupted operations of the practice.--Mental/Physical Requirements:--Involves sitting approximately 20 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
