Location: UCHealth UCHlth Eye Center AMC, US:CO:Aurora
Department: UCHA Eye Surgery Center
FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's
relevant experience
Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical
procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills,
decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal
supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and
take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Surgical Tech
Surgical Assistant - Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before
start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of
hire.
