QualificationsAs an Employee Health Nurse (Occupational Health),
you will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team environment.
You will plan, develop, implement and evaluate all activities and
services relating to the Employee Health Service and Workers
Compensation Program to provide high quality and cost effective
occupational health services to employees, volunteers, and
physicians.What you will do in this role:
- You will coordinate all clinical aspects of Employee Health
services including assessment and treatment of employee
injuries/illnesses, post-offer screening, occupational testing and
surveillance programs, employee infection control.
- You will work cooperatively with other staff in the
investigation, monitoring, tracking and follow-up of employee
injuries and health and safety issues in the work environment.
- You will provides triage for on-the-job injuries.
- You will oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel,
maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned
patients.
- You will be a strong employee health resource and be involved
with teaching, counseling and participation in presentations.
- You will investigates Workers Compensation claims; formulates
and coordinates implementation of medical case management; develops
and implements educational programs. What qualifications you will
need:
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered
Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart
Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Five years of medical/surgical nursing required.
- Valid Colorado Drivers license.
- Bachelors degree in nursing or other health related field
required with an advanced degree (MSPH, MSN, NP or other)
preferred.
- Certification or eligibility as a certified occupational health
nurse preferred.
- Previous occupational health nursing and workers compensation
experience preferred.
- Experience in emergency department, orthopedic nursing, case
management preferred.
- Knowledge of occupational health, safety, ergonomic and workers
compensation preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA law, FMLA, and ADA preferred. HCA HealthONE,
