TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Denver, Colorado, 80218 Pay Information $1,735 per week About The Position Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: Proficiency in Meditech, Trachs, and Ostomy Care Job Description: - Work in an 18-bed medical-surgical unit with a team-oriented approach focused on delivering high-quality patient outcomes. - Operate various medical equipment, including Philips Monitors, Alaris Pumps, Dopplers, Welch-Allyn vital sign machines, Mobilab, and Glucometers. - Engage in minimally invasive surgeries, colectomy, ostomy creation and takedown, artificial airway creation and management, podiatry, and plastics. - Provide care for patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, sepsis, DKA, and PNA. - Participate in team communication using structured methods like AIDET for patient interactions and bedside reporting. - Conduct hourly rounding to assess the 5 Ps: Potty, Pain, Position, Personal Items, and Pumps. - Follow unit routines, including attending shift huddles and receiving Bedside Reports using the SBAR report tool. - Perform daily patient care tasks, such as bed and linen changes, hand hygiene, Foley care, and central line maintenance. - Document patient care and assessments using Meditech, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping. - Communicate effectively with charge nurses regarding patient condition changes, physician calls, and discharge orders. - Adhere to unit-specific guidelines and participate in agency and float nurse orientation sessions.
