Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9am-6pmWhat you will doMonitor and support the implementation of compliance programs, including policies and practices as they relate to affordability requirementsEnsure that the property conducts rental/leasing activity in compliance with all regulatory requirementsReview all applications for tax credit apartments to confirm they comply with the LURA, CHFA, and other regulatory requirementsWork with applicants to provide the necessary documentationPerform on-site property file audits and populate regulatory reports as necessaryReview lease files for compliance and accuracy (implementing the attachment of documents in Yardi)Provide ongoing guidance and training to all Community staff as dictated by the Community Manager to ensure the accuracy of property operation filesEnsure annual certifications and provide documentation to HUD as requestedMaintain up to date compliance certifications as required. Continuing education by attending training seminars with outside sources - act as a compliance representative to the industry at large in a highly professional mannerInterface with CHFA in relation to all compliance requirementsMinimum of 3 years of experience in tax credit and subsidized housing or affordable property management Leasing experienceAn understanding of landlord/tenant and fair housing laws. knowledge of Federal, State and local laws pertaining to tax credit and subsidized housingTechnical knowledge of Occupancy Requirement of Subsidized Multifamily Housing (HUD 4350.3), Low-income Housing Credits (LIHTC), and HOME rules and regulationsAbility to deal with residents, prospects, and vendors in a professional mannerPossess demonstrable and verifiable skills associated with sales, clerical, supervisory, human relations, and bookkeepingBe competent with Microsoft Office, Yardi and basic computer knowledgePossess good telephone/communication skillsA positive and upbeat attitude, integrity, a willingness to learn, and be service orientedLifting no more than 25 pounds.
