of People and Culture is to create, sustain, and nurture a positive
and inclusive work environment where employees thrive, teams

role plays a pivotal role in driving the company's culture
initiatives, ensuring that every team member feels valued,
supported, and empowered to contribute to the organization's
success.As the steward of organizational culture, the Director of
People and Culture will focus on the well-being and development of
employees, fostering an environment that attracts, retains, and
engages talent. This position leads initiatives aimed at team
building, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and the
creation of a vibrant workplace culture that reflects core
values.In addition, the Director of People and Culture is
responsible for overseeing compliance with HR functions, including
legal requirements and industry best practices. This includes
managing employee relations, handling benefits and compensation,
maintaining up-to-date HR policies, and ensuring compliance with
employment laws and regulations.Core ResponsibilitiesCulture and
Engagement
- Champion company culture and ensure it is consistently
reflected in all aspects of the business.
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs, surveys,
and action plans to build a positive and collaborative
workplace.
- Lead initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion,
promoting a culture of belonging for all employees.
- Organize team-building events, training sessions, and retreats
to foster strong relationships and a cohesive work
environment.Talent Development and Leadership Growth
- Design and manage leadership development programs to nurture
emerging leaders within the organization.
- Oversee performance management processes, ensuring that
employees receive regular feedback, development opportunities, and
recognition for their contributions.
- Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and
create training and development programs that enhance team
performance and drive professional growth.
- Develop mentorship and coaching programs to support employee
development and retention.Team Building and Workforce Planning
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure team structures
support business goals and operational needs.
- Work with hiring managers to define recruitment strategies that
align with the company's culture and values.
- Lead the onboarding process to ensure new hires are effectively
integrated into the company and its culture.
- Develop strategies to manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts,
and ensure healthy communication among teams.HR Operations and
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and
internal HR policies.
- Oversee the creation and updating of employee handbooks,
policies, and procedures that reflect company values and regulatory
requirements.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution,
disciplinary actions, and employee grievances.
- Lead efforts to ensure competitive compensation, benefits, and
work-life balance initiatives that support employee well-being and
satisfaction.QualificationsExperience
- 7+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, with a focus on
culture-building, talent development, and employee engagement.
- Proven track record of developing and leading culture and
engagement initiatives in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in organizational development, leadership coaching,
and conflict resolution.Skills and Competencies
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all
levels.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a
collaborative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employee
relations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain flexibility
in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficient in HR software, project management tools, and other
relevant technologies.Brownie Points
- Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and
initiatives.
- Experience in leadership coaching or certifications in coaching
practices.
- Proficiency in HR software systems, such as Gusto, BambooHR,
