and operations tools, staff training, and recognition/reward
programs for all channels in the Hospitality industry. IMI programs
create brand value and opportunities with consumers while driving
food and beverage sales and profits for our Hospitality Operator
clients.Job Description:We have an opening for a creative,
well-organized, and forward-thinking Director of Beverage to join a
leading lodging hospitality group. A significant percentage of time
will be spent in the restaurants and bars throughout the Client
Operators portfolio to develop the bar staff. In this role, the
Director of Beverage Operations will develop, manage, and execute
an overall atmosphere in our beverage venues as it relates to
music, lighting, operating supplies, and overall style and vibe,
creating a "place" with "moments" that embody the brands of the
bars we manage. The Director of Beverage Operations will work
closely with the Director of Programming + Activations and Creative
Manager to align the positioning of the bar with the brand
identity. This will be accomplished through the development of
"Style Guides" and compliance checklists that will enable us to set
expectations and provide clear direction to our hotels. The
Director of Beverage Operations is ultimately responsible for
developing the Style Guides with clear standards for our hotels.
This person will participate in the development and execution of
relevant strategies and tactics which result in creative revenue
generation and improvement via innovative beverage programming,
overall atmosphere, and profitability of our programs.Critical

Leading Chain Hospitality Operator, Beverage Suppliers, and
Beverage Distributors B2C and B2B communities along with the
ethical, transparent, fiduciary, and legally compliant ethics of
our company, all IMI team members must be intelligent, mature,
well-polished, trustworthy, and have a high standard of ethics and
leadership. You must have confidence and class in conducting IMI's
and the Client's mission, but also know how to take constructive
feedback and implement the necessary changes in performance and
work, based on that feedback. You must dress and carry yourself in
a manner that is superior to the standard, along with speaking and
writing clearly.Responsibilities will include:CORE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, manages, and executes beverage programs and
innovative concepts for our hotels.
- Creates, fosters, and maintains positive relationships with
local business partners, sponsors, talent, vendors, brands,
tastemakers, and cultural institutions for collaborative event
opportunities.
- Works closely with the Hotel Operations Team and Director of
Food & Beverage to identify marketing opportunities as it relates
to on-property events; follow up with teams post-implementation and
develop SOPs and Style Guides.
- Assists with restaurant and bar concept development for
lifestyle/luxury and classic hotels branded drink and atmosphere
concepts.
- Continually evaluates and develops standard operating
procedures relative to beverage and vibe operational
excellence.
- Assists with new build and property acquisitions.
- Develops a set of unified talking points for each hotel as it
relates to newly implemented programming and activation to ensure a
'single unified voice' in the form of a Style Guide.
- Identifies opportunities for mixologist curated events within
the hotels, alongside the Food & Beverage Director, leading to
increased exposure and revenue generation for the bar.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND
SKILLSThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Education and
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, preferably from a Hotel or
Business School.
- 10+ years' experience in overall Beverage operations.Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry, related
products, and the three-tier distribution system.
- Requires advanced knowledge of Beverage principles, practices,
operations, and mixology.
- Experience in large scale Hospitality or Supply Chain Beverage
Activations and Trainings.
- Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices
within the food profession, including experiential knowledge
required for management of people and/or complex problems and food
and beverage management.
- Requires advanced knowledge of marketing strategy and
implementation, including social media and public relations.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans,
security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations,
preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget
forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and
long-range planning.
- Understanding of beverage performance standards across
on-premise.
- Demonstrated creative experience with implementing beverage
promotions.
- Comfort in making complex business decisions.
- Proven track record of high-level mixology and craft cocktail
creation.
- Successful track record of complete high-level Project
Management duties.
- Road-Warrior; accustomed to a high percentage of travel.
- Maintain budgets and record of expenditures; reported
frequently.
- Experience in communicating effectively with all levels of
management and staff, including high-level stakeholders and hotel
staff.
- Speaks and writes clearly and concisely.
- Able to work with different management styles as needed.
- Takes initiatives and is a part of the solution to issues and
problems that arise.
- The ability to multi-task handling several projects
simultaneously.
- High Level of experience analyzing data, instituting program or
project changes based on sales, and creating program metrics to
measure results.
- High-energy interpersonal skills and a professional
demeanor.
- Successful supervisory and/or employee management track
record.
- High proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications (i.e.,
Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.); SharePoint Experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and work under minimal
direction.
- Hospitable, with a service-prone, client-first mentality.
- Follow-up and follow-through must be your mantra.The following
experiences are a plus:
- Food and Beverage marketing development and data analysis.
- Beverage supplier or distributor sales analysis.WORKING
CONDITIONSTravel to company properties across the US will be
required 50-75% of the time.Salary: Commensurate based on
