Job Description: Performs and applies quantity takeoffs and surveys
to manage contract progress, reporting, and change management.
Maintains contract with more complex subcontracted scopes and
subcontract administration, including defining work scope,
answering inquiries, and monitoring progress. Reviews and
understands broader contract obligations as per the responsible
project and work scopes. Manages change order process, including
pricing, negotiating, processing, and assessing cost and schedule
impact before reviewing with project manager. Develops and monitors
overall project schedule. Consults with designers/engineers when
reviewing drawings and suggests value added or alternative
construction methods or materials. Collaborates with project
manager to create and issue tender packages and subcontracts on
more complex scopes, and monitor their progress. Maintains,
performs, and/or supervises project document control and procedures
(administering RFIs, shop drawing and submittal process,
maintaining as-built drawings, etc.) (BLDG and CIVIL). Assists the
project team lead in monitoring the design team for timely response
to the submittal schedule. Participates in reviews of
subcontractors' submittals for compliance with scope, design
documentation, and coordination with other disciplines against the
design documentation prior to forwarding to the design team for
their review. Works with project manager and superintendent and has
some responsibility for managing overall project performance on
more complex projects or scopes as per site HSE, cost management,
schedule, quality, and status and progress reporting. Provides
proactive leadership for safety and quality programs. Prepares and
tracks progress claims and estimates on more complex scopes.
Oversees inventory and tracking of materials and equipment, and
expedites material orders. Oversees work package development for
self-perform work, and maintains self-perform schedule and costing
system. Participates in overall construction coordination and
planning. Identifies and helps to resolve complex field technical
issues. Assists with site inspections from the design team to
resolve constructability and site coordination issues and reviews
and signs off on functionality, AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction)
requirements, and code compliance. Ensures that resolution is
achieved and accepted by all stakeholders. Involved in and
participates with overall project closeout, including document
archival, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and
warranty work. Participates in site inspection by the design team
for installation deficiencies, and witnesses and signs off on
systems commissioning. Participates in pre-commissioning or
commissioning as required. Identifies potential risks on project
scopes and/or the project. Develops and maintains excellent working
stakeholder relationships. Position supervises 3 Project Engineers.
Job position located at various unanticipated locations throughout
the United States. Position will report to HQ in Denver, CO.
Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or
Construction Management and 4 years of experience. Must have
experience in each of the following skills: Project Contracts
Managements, cost control and scheduling; Experience with 3D Civil
design (CAD) and developing critical work plans; Project scheduling
practices including Primavera P6, monthly updates, narratives
reports, and integration of contracts; Project management software
such as Procore and Power BI; Project equipment/resource inventory
management including scheduling, invoicing, and cost reporting;
Experience in Quality Control practices, Safety and Engineering
Submittal Review; Experience in Labor Productivity Reports and cost
reporting; Experience with OSHA practices and EPA laws; and
Generating purchasing orders.
