Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Instrumentation & Control Systems Engineer, we'll count on you to:

  • Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule.
  • Conduct systems integration of the SCADA systems, including programming of PLCs/PCs and HMI customizing for various control software programs.
  • Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
  • Write and edit instrumentation and controls systems specifications, and select equipment and monitoring/control devices.
  • Develop biddable and technically accurate SCADA / I&C construction documents including P&IDs, network architecture diagrams, control panel layouts and wiring diagrams, installation details, loop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents.
  • Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
  • Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position.
  • Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed.
  • Provide construction contract administration as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • A minimum of 3 years experience designing I and C Systems, including schematics and loops.
    • Automation programming experience.
    • Previous work experience with an A&E/Consulting Engineering firm.Required Qualifications
      • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
      • PLC/WTP and WWTP software programming experience.
      • Hands-on experience designing SCADA systems, including schematics and loops.
      • Experience managing control systems projects.
      • Knowledge of automation hardware including but not limited to Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Foxboro, Modicon, Siemens, and GE.
      • Knowledge of automation software including but not limited to Wonderware, iFix, FactoryTalk, VTScada, Ignition.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
