BE PART OF THE CONNECTION
As the Director of DevOps in the WiFi Engineering team, you will be
responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our
DevOps strategy, ensuring seamless collaboration between software
development, IT operations, and business teams. You will lead a
team of engineers and technical experts, driving the automation of
infrastructure, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
pipelines, and system monitoring. The role demands a strong focus
on scalability, reliability, and security across our platforms,
while fostering innovation and efficiency. Additionally, you will
work closely with stakeholders to optimize operational workflows,
reduce downtime, and ensure rapid deployment of new services.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and
enhance the customer experience.
Develops an effective front line Leadership team and assist them
with developing their direct reports as to drive a high performance
culture and environment.
Leads an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional
results delivering the customer experience.
Oversees designated operations which may include, but not limited
to Headend, network engineering, advanced video engineering,
construction projects, and related equipment requirements.
Provides engineering support and direction for new or existing
technologies and current operational initiatives.
Evaluates and consults with all levels of leadership regarding
technical operations, strategic planning of rebuilds, network
operations, dispatch, and new product development and
deployment.
Directs quality control programs for engineering operations and
consistent operational procedures.
Reviews selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide
recommendations as necessary.
Directs capital budget process, executes approved budget plan.
Ensures current procedures and tests are performed in accordance
with Federal Communication Commission Standards.
Oversees the maintenance of records as required by the Federal
Communications Commission and other government agencies.
Ensures adherence to company TQA policies.
Leads and participates in succession planning.
Performs other duties as requested.
Experience:Management experience - 7+ years of experience
Engineering experience and/or network operations - 10+ years of
experience
Project management experience - 2+ years of experience
Education:Master's degree in engineering or related field, or
equivalent experience
Skills: Proven experience in leading DevOps teams with a focus on
infrastructure automation and cloud environments.
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and
infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, and
/ or Ansible.
Strong background in cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or
Azure.
Deep understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker
and Kubernetes.
Solid experience with monitoring tools and observability
frameworks, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Advanced Knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and
Telephony
In-depth knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory
In-depth knowledge of Electronic theory
In-depth knowledge of Federal Communications Commission
regulations
In-depth knowledge of Fiber Optic theory
In-depth knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric
Safety Code
Abilities:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under
pressure
Ability to supervise and motivate others
Ability to use personal computer and software applications
Travel Ability:Travel as required
Schedule: Full time.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Knowledge of company products and services
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco,
Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.) Industry and vendor specific
certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
Experience with microservices architecture and its implementation
at scale.
Familiarity with security best practices in a DevOps environment,
including secure code deployment and vulnerability management.

The base pay for this position generally is between $138,800.00 and
$246,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully
consider a wide range of factors, including your skills,
qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage
minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional
forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
