Data runs on STACK.THE POSITION:STACK is seeking a dynamic Finance Manager to lead a team of Construction Cost Analysts (CCAs), focusing on our West Coast region and Build-to-Suit program.In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial strategy of our development projects-ensuring financial integrity, optimizing capital expenditure planning, and driving efficiency in reporting and analysis. Your leadership will directly contribute to STACK's ability to scale rapidly while maintaining excellence in financial execution.RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team: Manage and mentor a team of CCAs, ensuring accurate financial representation across all projects within the region.
  • Drive Financial Oversight & Reporting: Analyze project financial performance, provide actionable insights, and refine methodologies for improved cash flow forecasting, budget efficiencies, and cost allocation.
  • Own Construction Cost Summaries & Variance Analysis: Prepare and consolidate monthly reports, investigate variances, and develop strategies for cost optimization.
  • Enhance Forecasting & Capital Planning: Deliver rolling cash flow forecasts for individual projects and the consolidated campus portfolio.
  • Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Evaluate financial risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support Financial Operations & Systems: Collaborate with Finance and Construction teams to enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and system administration.
  • Enable Strategic Decision-Making: Conduct financial research and analysis to support capital funding decisions and liability assessments.THE DETAILS:

      • Education & Experience:
        • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
        • 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in real estate development, construction, or related industries
        • Strong background in cost accounting, auditing, or financial reporting
        • Technical Expertise:
          • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
          • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms (experience with Procore is a plus)
          • Leadership & Communication:
            • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
            • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
