of Finance to lead our financial strategy, operations, and legal
initiatives as we scale our Metabased Rollups and Transaction Cloud
products. This role requires deep expertise in finance,
crypto/web3, and legal management, with the ability to navigate the
unique challenges of a rapidly evolving technology company. This
role reports to Syndicate's COO.You Will:
- Lead and execute Syndicate's financial and investment strategy,
aligning with our Metabased Rollups technology focus and growth
objectives. Includes economic modeling, forecasting, and ad hoc
financial analysis.
- Work leadership to set and track company goals, measure key
business metrics, and set cultural norms and rituals.
- Oversee all aspects of accounting, tax, and financial reporting
for all Syndicate entities both onshore and offshore, including
invoicing and managing relationships with external accounting and
tax providers.
- Manage Syndicate's treasury, including both fiat and crypto
assets, and oversee crypto payment operations.
- Lead financial and legal aspects of token design and potential
decentralization efforts, collaborating with leadership and key
stakeholders.
- Assist with fundraising efforts, manage investor communications
and reporting, and steward our cap table.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and risk management
processes.
- Manage external legal counsel and drive all internal legal
work. Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (major less important than experience).
- 6+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial
modeling and forecasting.
- Strong background in tech startups, with required experience in
crypto/web3 companies.
- Experience with both traditional finance tools and
crypto-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of web3 financial mechanisms, token
economics, and on-chain analytics.
- Strong remote communication skills, able to translate complex
financial and legal concepts across the organization.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to thrive in a
fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. Nice to Haves:
- Direct experience with launching a token or at company that
decentralized.
- Experience managing legal counsel and driving legal initiatives
in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging regulatory frameworks in the
crypto/web3 space.
- Experience in developing or maintaining crypto treasury
