Job DescriptionPromote a Premier Brand to Top Contractors in a High-Potential, Denver-based TerritoryMake an impact by generating interest in Makita tools and pushing sales to our distributor network.If you are at home on construction sites, comfortable working with construction leaders and personnel, and have a high-energy, driven approach to success, the role of Construction Sales Specialist could be your perfect fit. You will generate interest in Makita tools by visiting job sites, presenting to decision makers and driving sales to our distributor partners. You will enjoy:

  • Taking ownership of the construction market in a territory that's primed for growth.
  • Representing a recognized and respected brand and best-in-class construction tools, products, and applications.
  • Developing and executing a strategic plan to help build business across Colorado.
  • Partnering with a talented sales professional who works with distributors as you work with end users.
  • Gaining visibility serving as the first Construction Sales Specialist in this area.
  • Working from your home office in the Denver area and spending a good deal of your time out in the field -- we'll provide a company truck, gas card and expenses. While you can find rewards and success in this territory for years to come, you might also leverage your performance to pursue other career paths within Makita U.S.A.

    The ideal candidate for the Construction Sales Specialist role will have deep understanding of construction job sites and the construction market combined with self-discipline, solution-bases sales skills and experience, and the drive and self-motivation to get out in the market and work to move the needle daily. At a minimum you should have:
    • 5+ years of sales and territory management experience, including significant experience in construction industry sales
    • A bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university, or 4 years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Deep understanding of the contractor trade within the Denver market; knowledge of all phases of construction
    • Strong knowledge of tool applications
    • Strong presentation skills; the ability to deliver effective presentations
    • A valid driver's license and safe driving record
